Minister Visits New George Willner Early Intervention Center

October 2018

On October 9, Israel Elwyn’s new George Willner Early Intervention Center (EIC) was visited by Mr. Haim Katz, Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services, who was joined by Mr. Eli Dukorsky, Mayor of Kiryat Bialik.  The Center was built by IE with substantial support from Morris Willner, as well as the Shalem Fund and the National Insurance Institute.  The formal dedication of the building is anticipated for a future date with the participation of Morris Willner (a former chairman and current member of IE’s Board of Directors) and other family members.

Other attendees who witnessed the affixing of the building’s mezuzah were Mr. Shmuel Weinglass, Director of the Fund for Service Development for Persons with Disabilities – National Insurance Institute, Ms. Riva Muskal, Director of the Shalem Fund, and other city officials, along with members of IE’s national and regional management and the families of children who will attend the EIC.

A chorus from Kiryat Bialik’s Yeda Elementary School performed, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The new EIC will serve 40 infants and toddlers from Kiryat Bialik and the area, ages 6 months to 3 years, who have developmental disability and autism and will now receive service close to home in a modern, pleasant structure that respects their needs.

Israel Elwyn thanks all those who are partners in our vision and path.
