Change of the Guard at Israel Elwyn

May 2018

On May 16, 2018, following three busy years, Stuart Rudoler stepped down from the position of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Israel Elwyn (IE), and Board member Alan Cohn was installed in that position for the coming three years.  Both have demonstrated their longstanding commitment to serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Israel.  The event took place at IE’s annual General Meeting and meeting of the Board of Directors.

Stuart was presented with a printed photograph taken by a member of Israel Elwyn’s Photographing from the Heart – a social enterprise established at IE’s Kfar Yona Regional Occupational Center.  Initiated by a staff member who is also a highly skilled photographer, the enterprise has provided instruction in photography for eight individuals with intellectual disability.  The group have exhibited their work at various locations throughout the country, as well as providing photography services at conferences and other events.

We again salute Stuart for his leadership and wish Alan much success.  Both are an inspiration for emerging leaders who follow their example and for helping Israel Elwyn enable more than 4,500 people in Israel, and many more throughout the world, achieve their goals.
