IE Senior Staff Attend Zero Project Conference at UN

March 2017

Late in February, Israel Elwyn (IE) sent a delegation composed of David Marcu (CEO), Sarah Sadovnik (COO) and Margalit Piller (Assistant to the CEO for Employment and Community Day Programs) to the Zero Project Conference 2017 at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria.

The Zero Project's mission is to work for a world with zero barriers.  Worldwide, the Project finds and shares models that improve the daily lives and legal rights of all persons with disabilities.  This year's Conference dealt with an issue central to IE's vision and mission:  employment of people with disability, a subject the importance of which continues to grow.  The focus included both work and, more specifically, vocational education and training, centering on solutions and methodologies from around the world.

The Conference offered a venue for participants from different sectors of society to connect so they can share and discuss ideas and concepts that really work.  The resulting joint effort helps support the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, worldwide.
