Early Intervention Center for Children - Carmiel

Israel Elwyn's Early Intervention Centers (EIC) in northern Israel are unique in their integrated treatment of the child and his family. The child's treatment is through a personal work program prepared by the multi-disciplinary professional staff from the fields of occupational, communication and other therapies as well as psychology. These programs constitute the buildings blocks necessary for the child's cognitive, motor and language development and relate to his needs and abilities throughout the day.

The counselling and guiding the child’s family is no less important and focuses on accepting their child with disabilities, teaching them about the child's treatment at home and in including him or her in recreational activities. The parents are full partners and fully involved in the child's treatment program at the EIC and receive intensive guidance from the staff.

The Carmiel EIC has two classes, with a special education teacher and assistant in each.
