Israel Elwyn Pays Tribute to Chairperson Emeritus Franklin Riesenburger

May 2015

L-r: Honoree Frank Riesenburger; Koi Pond at the Parkway Corporation; Frank and Chairperson Stuart Rudoler

On May 14, 2015 Israel Elwyn and the American Friends of Israel Elwyn paid tribute to Franklin Riesenburger for his many years of generous and longstanding commitment to serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  The event took place in the elegant offices of the Parkway Corporation and was attended by family, friends and leaders in the Philadelphia community.  Rabbi Alfredo Winter, a leader in Vineland’s Jewish Community for decades and a friend of Frank’s, offered the benediction.

In addition to his leadership on Israel Elwyn’s Board of Directors, Frank is a shareholder at Flaster/Greenberg and past chair of its Environmental Department.  An active leader in his community, Frank has been involved in organizations advancing the care and needs of people with disabilities for the past 34 years. Frank is a former adjunct professor of environmental law at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and writes and lectures frequently on topics involving environmental litigation and regulation. Frank received his J.D. in 1971 from the University of Chicago, and is a 1968 cum laudegraduate of American University, School of International Service.

Israel Elwyn’s Chairperson, Stuart Rudoler, and David Marcu, IE’s CEO, spoke of Frank’s contribution to Israel Elwyn’s growth, its leadership in the field in Israel and globally, and to the continual and rapid advancement of IE’s capacities and results in bringing independence, skills, hope, and dignity to children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

We once again salute Frank for his leadership and look to him for inspiration for emerging leaders who follow his example and helping Israel Elwyn enable more than 3,300 people daily in Israel, and many more throughout the world, achieve their goals.
